This card was inspired by the Pals Paper Arts challenge #298.
I love this sketch! It’s so simple, but there are so many possibilities. I will definitely be using this one again; I have so many more ideas for it!
I chose the color combinations for this card by searching through my scraps and finding colors that looked beautiful together. These scraps became the stripes in the first panel. I thought I had two stripes of Watermelon Wonder… but I think now that one of them was a sneaky Melon Mambo that wanted to come party on my card. I like it though, it can stay.
I got to use my new cupcake builder punch for this card, which is so much fun. My cupcake is held up with dimensionals (and a hidden rectangle of cardstock for added stability), except for the little candle flames which are attached directly to the paper.
Cardstock: Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder, Hello Honey, Pool Party, Blackberry Bliss, and Melon Mambo (I think) (c) Stampin’ Up!
Punches: Project Life Corner Punch, Cupcake Builder Punch (c) Stampin’ Up!
