I created a card earlier this week with a gradient effect from Island Indigo to Pool Party and used the Hello You Thinlit Dies from Stampin’ Up! to cut out the word “Hello”. To see that card, click here! The scraps were so pretty, though, that I couldn’t throw them away. Instead, I made the card you see below!
The layout for this card is super simple, the list of materials is quite short, and the techniques are fairly simple. The only part that is a little tricky is getting all the pieces inside the letters glued down in their rightful places. I used glue dots to attach all those little puzzle pieces. They worked great and left the card nice and clean looking!
If you make this card from scratch instead of using scraps from another card, it might be easier to sponge the gradient on a solid piece of paper, cut out the thinlit word from black paper, and put the thinlit word on top or the gradient background.
The balloon strings are drawn with a white colored pencil. They are just straight lines with little loops at the ends to look like bows.
Thanks for visiting!
I am away for a long weekend, but if you have any comments or questions I can answer them as soon as I get back!
