Time For A Party

Woo! I’m back from vacation! I have missed challenges and posting! So, for today’s card I have a double challenge for you! You can tell I’m excited by all the exclamation points.

The challenges that inspired this card are Global Design Project Challenge #043

GDP043

and Pals Paper Arts #308!

I have been so excited to use the new Fox Builder Punch from Stampin’ Up! and it works really well with accessories from other stamp sets. In this case I paired it with a party hat from the Sale-a-bration set called Hello, also from Stampin’ Up!

A note about legs.┬áSadly the punch does not punch out legs for this cute little fox. There is a stamp… but it doesn’t look quite right to me if the legs don’t stick down a little bit from his body, because it flattens out the poor guy and spoils any 3D effect. To fix that, I stamped on a separate piece of paper and fussy cut out the tiny little legs. Now he is ready to be raised up on dimensionals!

I also got to use a new paper from the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!, though not a piece that actually has pink on it. I love the bold black and white patterns that come in this stack, and have been dying to use them!

I stamped and fussy cut a party hat (from the Hello set). I also tried the party hat from the No Bones About It set… but it was sadly too small, so I had to use a retired stamp instead. Ah well.

Thanks for visiting, I’m glad to be back! Happy stamping!
