Stampin’ Up Color Reset

Stampin’ Up Color Reset

When a new Stampin’ Up! catalog comes out, the first thing I check is the new In Colors. I love color and a fun color combination is often a starting point for a card I want to create. The new catalog is now available for demonstrators and WOW! There are not only 5 new In-Colors…

Stampin’ Up! has decided to reset the colors in their basic color families! That means several old color friends are retiring and a whole bunch of new colors have been added!

I’ve updated my Color Guide to show the new colors along with their rgb and hex values.

Color Combinations

One of my favorite things to do is experiment with color combinations to see how different colors work together. I’ve put together a guide of my favorite combinations using the new In Colors for 2018-2020.

Goodbye to the Old Colors

New colors always mean saying goodbye to old colors…

Here are the ones that are going away:

Purples: Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder

Blues: Marina Mist, Soft Sky

Blue-greens: Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo

Greens: Always Artichoke, Wild Wasabi

Oranges: Tangerine Tango

Pinks: Rose Red, Pink Pirouette

Browns: Chocolate Chip

In-Colors: Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum

Hello to the New Colors

How can you get all these new colors?! Here’s the rundown:

The New In Colors ink pads are going to be part of an EARLY RELEASE! That means demonstrators can order them now and everyone can order them starting May 1st!

The rest of the ink pads, markers, and paper plus loads of coordinating embellishments will be available individually or as a special set that includes all the new colors, so if you want them all, they are bundled! Wahoo! These will be available for demonstrators starting May 2nd and for everyone starting June 1st!

What do you think?

The new colors are very vibrant, which fits really well with my card making style; I love bright colors! I’m super excited to give these new colors a try!

I’ll be missing Island Indigo the most. I’ve even used it in my website design, and now I’ll have to determine if I want to switch out all the Island Indigo for a different color.

What color will you miss the most?

Thanks for visiting and happy stamping!
