Mojo Mini Doughnut

This card was inspired by my delicious breakfast, the letter M, and by Mojo Monday’s Challenge #449.

I created my own mini doughnut using only circles for this whimsical card.

Large circle: 1-1/2″

Medium circle: 1-1/4″

Small circle (holes): 1/2″

When cutting the holes in the larger circle pieces, position the hole slightly off center toward the top. When putting the two pieces together, line up the tops of the two circles. This will create the look of a 3 dimensional doughnut!

I framed my doughnut on a white circle with pierced border.

Paper piercing packs are so cheap, you can any mouse pad or piece of foam as a backing, and a sewing needle or thumb tack works well to poke holes. It’s so cheap to try this technique that you will save enough money to buy a whole ‘nother stamp set.

I stamped “so sweet” on a small piece of cardstock and attached it to the card using washi tape that coordinates with my designer series papers. (Okay, so there is also some snail adhesive back there to hold it down.)

I LOVE washi tape and I love finding cute little ways to use it! Even though this is a small piece of tape, it adds a lot to this card: texture, balance, and unity.
