Celebrate Today in Black and White

This card was made in response to Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #57.

Hello again, readers! I’m happy to announce that I am back! I’ve had a crazy busy month, filled with trips, events, and a busy work schedule, but things are finally settling back to normal. I’m excited to be writing and sharing cards once again and I’ve got a whole pile waiting for you!

This is a simple fancy folded ‘Z’ card. The front of the card has been folded back in half and the white panel on the front lines up with the inner white panel. Start with a half sheet of cardstock (5-1/2 x 11). Score at 4-1/4, flip over, score at 2-1/8, then crease both folds. This is what it looks like from the top:

I decorated the left panel with Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! I love the bold designs in this paper stack and they are perfect for this challenge.

I cut out a small rose shape from the Rose Garden Thinlit Die set and glued it in the corner of the front white panel. I trimmed the corner off around the rose petals so a little bit of the inside of the card showed through.

On the inside of the card I added a little bit of metallic silver washi tape as an accent.

Finally, I finished off the card by adding the sentiment from the Enjoy the Little Things stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

Thanks for visiting and for your patience while I was gone! Happy stamping!
