I’m really excited for the new Occasions catalog that is coming out on January 4th from Stampin’ Up, but there are also several of my holiday favorites that are retiring. Emboss Resist Thank You with Jolly Friends
I find the emboss resist technique to be very relaxing. It’s the inking part, where you spread vibrant colors all over your paper without worrying about staying in the lines; I just love it!

Snow Covered Umbrella with Weather Together
Rain can make for pretty miserable weather, which may be why we use umbrellas as a symbol for comfort to protect you from the storm of whatever unfortunate life events come your way. I think snow, especially the sleety kind, can be even more miserable than rain. This wintery-themed sympathy card features an umbrella from Weather Together and a surprise visit from Botanical Builder Thinlit Dies.

First Flakes with Snow Place
This is the first card I’ve made with this little snowman. I’ve used the penguin from this set a lot, but only because you can get away with stamping penguins in the summer. It’s a little harder to get away with little guys actually made of snow. I’m so glad to have the chance to finally give him a spin!
