Snow Place Christmas Tag

It’s Your Time Snow Place Penguin

I just adore this penguin stamp from the Snow Place stamp set. I use him all year round, he’s just so fun and cheerful!  Now that it is closer Christmas I can start using all of the cute little winter accessories that go with him and perhaps even break out his little snowman friends. Maybe. Continue reading “Snow Place Christmas Tag”

Bear Hugs Bringing Warmth and Cheer

Bringing Warmth and Cheer to Children for Christmas with Bear Hugs!

I have a toddler that loves cards. He reads each one like it is a book, even though it only has one page. And like most toddlers, he loves to tear things off of them. If you are going to make a card for a toddler, I’ve learned that it is impossible to make a card so sturdy that a two year old can’d destroy it. Instead, I’ve gone the other direction.

Christmas In July

Today’s card is in response to Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #56!

The designers over at S.I.P. have it right! It is never too early to start thinking about Christmas cards! The closer you get to the actual holiday, the less time there is to do all the shopping, bake all the cookies, trim all the trees, take holiday photos, and, oh yeah, make Christmas Cards.

It can sneak up on you, and by the time you finish all the Christmas tasks, you might find yourself thinking, “It’s Christmas already?”

I made this little deer out using the Fox Builder Punch and the Foxy Friends stamp set from Stampin’ Up! The coordinating stamp set comes with little antler stamps, but real reindeer have HUGE antlers! (I just saw some at the zoo this weekend, so I am an expert on this subject.) I opted to use the Tree Builder Punch to make some slightly larger antlers.

The paper is Stampin’ Up!’s new This Christmas Designer Series Paper. It normally pairs with Very Vanilla, but I chose a piece that didn’t have any so I could put it with crisp, sharp Whisper White. Vanilla gives Christmas cards a more traditional look, while white seems more modern to me.

I finished off the card with a greeting from the Snow Place stamp set. It normally says, “Snow Way! It’s Christmas Already?” I covered up part of the sentiment using Post-It Notes for inking, then removed them for stamping. What a perfect saying for a Christmas in July challenge!

Thanks for visiting! Merry stamping and to all a good night!
