Cake Party

This card layout was inspired by Mojo Monday challenge #448.

Having remembered earlier this week that it is possible to color on Designer Series Paper to customize it, I decided I wanted to do some more coloring! I chose a paper that I hadn’t used before that was perfect for the occasion.

Recognize it? This is from the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up! Normally it is Watermelon Wonder with Whisper White cakes on it. I colored all those cute little cakes in with Pool Party, Pacific Point, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write markers. It started as an experiment to see if I liked it… and I definitely did! Now I want to see what other papers I have that would be good for coloring!

You don’t have to color perfectly. Don’t be afraid to try! I definitely did not stay in the lines completely, but the overall effect is so cute that we don’t notice tiny imperfections (or if we do, we are too polite to comment).

I’m sitting outside in the (finally) warm sunshine and these summery colors remind me of cool and tasty tropical drinks.

Have a good weekend and happy stamping everyone!
