Today’s card uses Rose Garden Thinlit Dies from Stampin’ Up! I cut out the image in white first, to get the outline. I glued this outline onto a rectangular piece of white cardstock using snail adhesive; I basically covered the entire rectangle with adhesive.
Then I cut out the image again in Bermuda Bay and Pool Party. I placed the petal pieces inside the white outline like completing a puzzle. Once all the spaces were filled, I cut along the edges of the rose to remove the background rectangle.
I used the Project Life Corner Rounding Punch to curve all the edges of the background panels. In my opinion this step makes a card look a little more formal or fancy.
Panel sizes: White Card (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″), Bermuda Bay Panel (4″ x 5-1/4″), 2 Pool Party Panels (3-3/4″ x 2-7/16″)
One simple stamp finishes off this card from the What I Love stamp set from Sale-a-bration. I love this scroll-y font, so elegant!
This card makes me think of the song “What a Wonderful World” so now I will be singing it the rest of the day!
This is a crazy month, with lots of camping and cabin trips packed in! It’s lots of fun… but it means I can’t participate in most of my favorite card challenges. I still have lots of cards to share with you though, so keep checking back!
Thanks for visiting and happy stamping!
